Therefore, I urge you and your fellow senators to take decisive action in response to this incident. I believe that censure alone is insufficient to address such a severe breach of conduct. Therefore, I request that you consider more substantial actions, including: Removal from Committees: This would limit Mr. Sheehy's influence and responsibilities within the Senate. Public Accountability: Initiating public forums or discussions on the expectations for conduct among senators would reinforce our commitment to ethical behavior. Expulsion: If warranted, expulsion from the Senate should be on the table, as it reflects the gravity of his actions. The actions of public officials carry significant weight, and it is essential to hold them accountable when they fail to meet those standards.
