Oppose Further U.S. Escalation With Iran

To: Sen. Hagerty, Rep. Burchett, Sen. Blackburn

From: A constituent in Knoxville, TN

March 14

As your constituent, I urge you to oppose any further U.S. military escalation with Iran without explicit congressional authorization. Americans do not want another open-ended war in the Middle East. Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over war-making. We also need immediate public accountability for civilian harm, including the reported strike on a girls’ school now under investigation, and full transparency about any U.S. role. Please act now to oppose any deployment of U.S. ground troops, support public hearings and full disclosure regarding civilian casualties, vote to block any unauthorized expansion of hostilities, and push for de-escalation and diplomacy instead of another blank check for war. The American people deserve lawful oversight, honesty, and restraint — not unauthorized escalation and lack of accountability. Thank you for your time and service.
