The House passed the Ukraine Support Act on June 4 by a vote of 226 to 195. Now it's the Senate's turn. Vote yes and move this bill to the president's desk.
This wasn't a partisan gift — 18 Republicans crossed their own leadership to pass it, and a bipartisan majority had to use a discharge petition just to force the vote. The bill authorizes continued military support for Ukraine, imposes new sanctions on Russia, establishes a rebuilding trust fund, and reaffirms America's commitment to NATO. Rep. Don Bacon called it a "Churchill or Chamberlain moment." He's right. The Senate faces the same choice.
Ukraine's ability to hold the line depends on sustained American support. Letting this bill stall in the Senate after the House fought this hard to pass it would be a failure of leadership. Vote yes.
