Funneling billions of taxpayer dollars into corporations controlled by Elon Musk is state-sponsorship of a monopolistic actor whose unchecked power poses a clear and present threat to democratic governance and national security. Musk has repeatedly demonstrated profound disregard for regulatory compliance, labor laws, and ethical standards. By continuing to award these lucrative, non-competitive avenues of funding, our government actively subsidizes the nefarious whims of an oligarch who uses public wealth to expand his personal power. A single private citizen holds the keys to critical national infrastructure while remaining entirely unaccountable to the public.
