Prohibition didn’t work. Why would KOSA be any different?

To: Sen. Schmitt, Rep. Burlison, Sen. Hawley

From: A constituent in Springfield, MO

March 6

When the United States banned alcohol in the early 20th century, did it actually prevent alcoholism or any of the other problems alcohol causes? No, it did not. In places where age verification bills have been passed, have they done anything whatsoever to protect children from harmful content online? No, they have not. Instead, children are failing to get help they need for mental health issues, adults are having their faces and IDs leaked, and everyone pays the price. KOSA will do nothing to protect anyone. Do not support it.
