I am a survivor of domestic violence, sexual violence, and gun violence, and I am a mother to three children. I am asking you to act with clarity and moral seriousness. These files involve children. The crimes documented are among the most heinous acts a person can commit. The focus must be on naming the perpetrators of abuse and ensuring accountability. Perpetrators of violence follow predictable patterns of escalation. These people have not and will not stop. Abusers and those who enabled them should be identified plainly, and accountability must follow. Anything less continues the harm and silence that allowed these crimes to occur.
