This legislation would prohibit individuals from accessing single-sex facilities on federal property that do not correspond to their biological sex assigned at birth. Such a measure would discriminate against transgender and non-binary individuals, denying them the ability to use restrooms and other facilities that align with their gender identity. Not only does this endanger trans people but endangers all women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross and will lead to worse. This isn't a slippery slope argument this is fighting back against a brutal strategy to abuse women and legally discriminate against them. This bill poses a serious threat to the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of the transgender community. Denying access to appropriate facilities promotes stigma, harassment, and violence against an already vulnerable population. It would make federal buildings unwelcoming and inaccessible spaces for transgender people, impeding their full participation in civic life. No one should face dehumanization or be treated as a second-class citizen simply for being who they are. Furthermore, this policy sets a dangerous precedent for codifying discrimination into law under the guise of preserving traditional values. It broadcasts a message of intolerance that emboldens further acts of bias and oppression against LGBTQ+ individuals and other marginalized groups. A truly inclusive society celebrates diversity and defends the rights of all its members. I urge you to reject this discriminatory legislation and instead advance policies that foster equality, respect human dignity, and protect the civil liberties guaranteed to all Americans, regardless of gender identity or expression. Our democratic principles demand no less.
