I urge you to reject Schumer's compromise with Republicans on confirming federal appeals court nominees. Their obstruction and demands for an unfair partisan balance on the courts is unacceptable. We must vote to confirm all of President Biden's highly qualified nominees who will uphold the rule of law and protect fundamental rights. Bipartisan approval of judges should not require concessions that undermine an independent judiciary. The Senate has a constitutional duty to provide advice and consent, not engage in selective partisan interference. Upholding our democratic institutions requires standing firm against escalating attacks on judicial integrity. The Democrats have the majority still. Act like it.
