We need new Democratic leadership. Hakeem Jeffries is not representative of the new generation of Democrats and is not the leader to take us into the future. Today he said “Americans don’t want revenge” which would have been fine if it were followed by “They want Justice!” We do want legislative solutions, AND investigations AND consequences for criminals AND safeguards against them in the future. If he can’t do all of these things he is not the leader for this crucial moment. Do not make him the Speaker of the House. We need fresh ideas, not being dragged into the past with delusions of “cooperation and compromise”. NO! Choose someone else who can meet the demand of the current situation.
