Vote No on the SAVE America Act

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Casar, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Manor, TX

March 17

I'm asking you to vote no on the SAVE America Act. This bill would require proof of citizenship to register to vote and ID at the polls, creating barriers that will prevent eligible Americans from exercising their right to vote. Voter fraud is already extremely rare, and we don't need new restrictions that will disenfranchise people. The real problem is access. Millions of Americans don't have easy access to the documents this bill would require, including birth certificates or passports. Getting these documents costs time and money that many working families don't have. Elderly voters who were born at home may not have birth certificates at all. This isn't about election security. It's about making it harder to vote. We already have systems in place to verify voter eligibility. Adding more bureaucratic hurdles will suppress turnout without solving any actual problem. I want you to stand up for voting rights and oppose this bill.
