Who knew what repercussions might ensue when a narcissistic despot with a touch of dementia is elected President of the United States? We now know the answer more clearly as we confront. Here are just a few: Willful destruction of our government. Attacks on private institutions — law firms, universities, media, corporations. Heinous ICE/DHS attacks on American citizens and legal residents + inhumane treatment of people held in detention. Aggressive attacks on non-compliant judges, politicians and anyone else who stands in the administration’s way. Framing protest as terrorism. Defiance of court orders. The break up of National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and the willful destruction of the EPA. Turning back years of facts and science to make America and the world less healthy. Illegal re-naming of the Kennedy Center. And now, Trump-class navy ships. I hope and pray that 2026 will be a new beginning, that Congress will re-claim their role as an equal branch of government with the power of the purse and their commitment/oath to the Constitution instead of Trump and FINALLY TAKE ACTION to SAVE our democracy. Before it’s too late.
