I urge you to express solidarity with Palestinians: 1. Stand against U.S. support for Israel — financial, military, cultural 2. Redirect ALL aid to Palestine 3. VOTE NO on: H.R.6126, H.R.340, H.R.3266, H.R.4365, H.R.4665, S.Con.Res.14, S.2438, H.R.3099 4. Introduce URGENT legislation DEMANDING A CEASEFIRE NOW similar to H.Res.786 I oppose the occupation of Palestine & genocide of Palestinians. Israel’s violence violates international law, yet you send billions in unconditional aid. I don’t consent to my tax dollars funding the massacres of Palestinian civilians in occupied Palestine. If you care about representing your constituents, now is the time to do so by ending the genocide of Palestinians. Israeli occupation of Palestine is the longest ongoing military occupation in modern history. The violence of the state of Israel includes countless crimes against humanity & has resulted in Palestinians being the largest refugee population worldwide. 50% of Palestinians living in Palestine are children. Under international Occupation Law, Israel has had the legal responsibility to ensure basic human rights to all Palestinian people since 1967, when it took over control of the entirety of Palestine. However, it has subjected Palestinians to living in an open-air prison. Palestinian people deserve full liberation, from the river to the sea. That requires the abolition of the apartheid state of Israel & relocation for all Israeli settlers. Most of the world supports Palestine, but you refuse to recognize the humanity of Palestinian people. You probably didn’t know, but the settler-colonial state of Israel & zionism, the ideology that supports it, are antisemitic (anti-Jewish) themselves. They intentionally conflate Judaism with theft of land in Palestine & the ethnic cleansing & genocide of Palestinian people. Judaism advocates for no such atrocities. Zionism maintains that all Jewish people support Israel’s crimes, & that any self-described Jewish antizionist must either be self-hating or not a “real Jew.” In reality, many Jewish people are antizionist, & this has been true since the start of zionism. Early zionists actually collaborated with Nazis to murder non-zionist & antizionist Jews. The Holocaust was an atrocity, but it cannot be used to justify enacting another genocide. And antisemitism cannot be countered by the dehumanization of Palestinian people. Liberation for anyone is impossible without liberation for everyone. If you fail to take decisive action, or misrepresent the will of your constituents (currently almost 3/4 of American voters support a ceasefire in Palestine), I vow to campaign against your re-election & election to any political office. I will rally my community & inform them of your abhorrent failures. You've already wasted enough time by not introducing legislation demanding CEASEFIRE NOW, so my faith in you is already dwindling. I hope you will stand on the right side of history. We will all remember your decisions.
