As a constituent in ] Plano, I am writing to express my strong opposition to any legislation supporting school vouchers in Texas. Public tax dollars should remain in public schools — where they are accountable to all taxpayers and designed to serve every student. Diverting funds to private institutions through a voucher program undermines the foundation of our public education system, especially in rural and suburban communities like ours where public schools are central to our families and neighborhoods. Texas should invest in strengthening our public schools — not creating systems that siphon resources away from them. I respectfully urge you to oppose any school voucher proposals and continue to support funding and policies that benefit all Texas students. Thank you for your time and service.
