Support Individual and Union Participation in Day of Action

To: Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Huizenga, Sen. Peters

From: A verified voter in Kalamazoo, MI

March 29

I'm asking you to publicly encourage individual workers and unions in your district to participate in the upcoming Day of Action. The recent No Kings demonstrations brought over eight million people into the streets nationwide. The largest rally in Minnesota history drew massive crowds opposing the war with Iran, ICE enforcement, and authoritarian policies. In New York, over 100,000 marched. Cities from Los Angeles to Philadelphia to Detroit saw unprecedented turnout. Working people are demanding action on issues that directly affect their lives. You can read more here: https://www.leftvoice.org/biggest-no-kings-demonstration-ever-brings-10-million-to-the-streets/ Union participation made these protests stronger, but leadership held back from full mobilization. Workers need to see their elected representatives stand with them when they exercise their right to protest. Public support from you would send a clear message that mass action matters and that working people's voices count. Make a statement backing the Day of Action and call on both individual workers and unions to participate.
