Censure Todd Blanche & legislate to block Trump's slush fund and pardon

To: Sen. Collins, Sen. King, Rep. Golden

From: A verified voter in Lewiston, ME

June 2

Todd Blanche cooked up a flagrantly illegal slush fund for Trump's law breaking insurrectionist cop-beaters and then tried to sell it to Congress by dangling a bribe. In every way, this gambit was an outrage, a disgrace, and a threat to the rule of law. Even though the scheme has now been parked, we need to see consequences for such wicked abuse of the DOJ. Blanche should be disbarred, forced to resign, and removed if he does not resign. Congress needs to draw a line: as ACTING AG Blanche is supposed to ACT AS AG and not as Trump's private legal attack dog and fixer. Congress also needs to block these corrupt schemes by legislation. Please read Jamie Raskin's statement: "... Congress can and must pass legislation to block not just the theft of $1.8 billion in taxpayer funds but also to address the other equally pernicious aspect of this collusive settlement: the sweetest-of-all-sweetheart deals in the world, a ‘Todd Blanche Super Pardon’ that the Acting Attorney General snuck in to shield Trump, his family, and their businesses from any crime or misconduct ‘presently known or unknown’ forever." I ask you to censure and remove Blanche and to draft or cosponsor or declare your strongest support for, and to vote for legislation to block the slush fund and Trump self-immunity.
