Restore Bestiality as an Automatic FBI Disqualifier

To: Sen. Peters, Rep. Dingell, Sen. Slotkin

From: A verified voter in Milan, MI

September 15

Restore bestiality as an automatic disqualification for FBI employment. The recent policy change under Director Kash Patel — which removed the automatic bar on individuals who have engaged in bestiality — is indefensible, and the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week made that painfully clear. Patel himself couldn't coherently explain why the change was made until Sen. Kennedy walked him through it question by question. The FBI is already struggling to recruit trustworthy agents. Removing a bright-line moral standard like this, even with a narrow trafficking exception in mind, sends exactly the wrong signal about who is fit to serve in federal law enforcement. If someone voluntarily had sex with an animal, they cannot be an FBI agent. That should not require a Senate hearing to confirm. Reinstate the automatic disqualification now.
