Netanyahu is putting the middle east on the brink of a war. He is putting lives all over the region at risk. As a Jewish person, I have no intrinsic loyalty to Israel, but I do have a humanitarian duty to speak up against this unending loss of innocent lives. I recognize that we can't control what the Israeli government does, but we absolutely CAN control whether they're doing it with weapons we give them. I call on you to call for a ceasefire and a simultaneous, immediate embargo on further arms sales and military support to Israel. This indiscriminate killing and warfare is amounting to a genocide. It has to stop. Israel cannot bomb its way to peace or safety. Let the US be a leader in diplomacy and humanity here. Please, please stop this. I can't bear waking up to continued counts of the innocent lives that Netanyahu has decided to sacrifice in his ego-fueled war.
