I'm writing you because we are sitting on a complete and utter constitutional nightmare. September 16th, Jimmy Kimmel was blatantly denied his first amendment when he spoke about the Charlie Kirk situation and how Trump and everyone else immediately threw rumors into the wind on the identity and politics of the shooter by claiming the radical left before even learning the facts on who the shooter was. According to the 1st Amendment of the US constitution; Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Trump's actions in weaponizing the FCC to make threats towards ABC/Disney is a clear violation against the very constitution he has made a pledge towards defending. Secondly, if what Jimmy Kimmel said was so bad, why wasn't equal treatment given towards Brian Kilmeade when he advocated towards killing the homeless which resulted in the homeless being murdered after he said that? At this point, it is either you take the constitutional oath seriously or resign in disgrace at how little you and the rest of the Republicans care for the United States Constitution and the legacy of Charlie Kirk touting Free Speech that nobody is taking seriously.
