I truly don’t understand how the US, and specifically the GOP, has become devoted to supporting Russian oligarchs and Saudi kings. Personally, I’m not in favor of the oil embargo that has been crippling Cuba over the past several months, but I was shocked to hear this morning that the US has allowed a Russian tanker through the blockade. Our nation and our entire military has been bought by Russian and Saudi criminals. Our “allies” in the Gulf States are encouraging Trump to use our blood and treasure to make them more powerful, and Putin is determining our foreign policy priorities. I’m so glad I chose not to have children, because my heart is breaking for my nieces and nephews. I considered myself so lucky to grow up in this country. Our kids do not have anything like the opportunities I had, because billionaires are stealing their futures. If you are not fighting this, you are enabling it.
