Stop the DOJ's Unprecedented Denaturalization Push

To: Rep. Casar, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Manor, TX

June 9

Block the Justice Department's move to strip citizenship from 17 naturalized Americans. This denaturalization push, announced June 8, 2026, is unprecedented in scope and sets a dangerous precedent that puts every naturalized citizen at risk. Citizenship is not a provisional status — once granted, it must be treated as permanent and protected. Naturalized citizens went through a rigorous legal process to earn their status. Using the DOJ as a tool to revoke that status, even selectively, opens the door to citizenship being weaponized against any immigrant community the administration targets next. Today it's 17 people. There is no logical stopping point once this power is normalized. I expect you to publicly oppose this effort and use every legislative tool available to halt it. Introduce or co-sponsor legislation that limits executive authority to pursue mass denaturalization. The integrity of citizenship itself is on the line.
