Condemn Trump's proposed peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. It's a list of Russian demands with syntax that suggests it was translated from a Russian communion. It will make the world less safe, Europe less safe, and nuclear confrontation more likely. It will also reward Russia for its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, its cruel and illegal killings of civilians, and its forced illegal removal of Ukrainian children. There's a simple way to end this war of Russian aggression : Russia withdraws. Remember the Budapest memorandum of 1994? Per that agreement, Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security assurances from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia. Are we now to betray that? Trump acts like a mouthpiece for Putin. This so called "peace deal" is a con and a betrayal. And it gives Russia and every other rogue state carte blanche to indulge in illegal violent land grabs against neighbours. Take back congress's war powers. Ensure that Ukraine continues to receive military support from the US Hold hearing to investigate Trump, Hegseth, and Witkoff for treason by invading US cities and by doing Putin's bidding
