The Speaker's attempt to manipulate the legislative calendar to prevent Congress from overturning the President's unilateral trade actions is an unacceptable violation of democratic norms and governing procedure. This flagrant abuse of institutional power to protect constitutionally dubious executive overreach represents a brazen disregard for the separation of powers and the critical system of checks and balances. Such willful obstruction of the legislative process to usurp Congressional prerogatives cannot be tolerated in a properly functioning system of self-governance. Immediate corrective action is necessary to restore the integrity of the established order and defend the institutional guardrails protecting against a dangerous concentration of power.
