We are hearing of people DYING in ICE detention centers. We are seeing people being treated openly with brutality by ICE. People are disappearing into detention centers and we are unable to find out where they are, what is happening to them, or connect them to legal assistance. These are bit isolated instances, but PATTERNS of illegal and cruel behavior. If 16 inmates died in county custody in nine months, or if deputies were caught shoving women to the ground there would be outrage and investigations. ICE must be held to the same standard. Congress must demand immediate and independent reviews of every death, enforce detention standards, and require transparency. Please do whatEVER you can to initiate n and support these investigations.
