I am writing as your constituent to demand immediate congressional oversight and strict statutory limits on law enforcement's use of artificial intelligence and predictive surveillance technologies. Recent federal procurement documents show that agencies like the FBI are actively seeking predictive AI and algorithmic threat-screening software. While sorting large datasets is a routine administrative need, deploying AI to flag potential threats or monitor domestic political discourse creates serious Fourth Amendment privacy risks, increases the danger of false positives on government watch lists, and threatens to chill constitutional First Amendment speech. To protect civil liberties in the digital age, I urge you to: 1 Pass the Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act to close the data broker loophole and require law enforcement to obtain a court warrant before purchasing Americans' location, search, and personal data. 2 Require mandatory independent audits and transparency standards for any AI tools used by federal law enforcement to ensure accuracy, eliminate bias, and protect due process. 3 Prohibit the use of AI for warrantless mass surveillance, predictive policing, or monitoring of lawful domestic political activities. Our constitutional rights must not be bypassed by technology. I urge you to introduce and support strong federal guardrails on government AI surveillance.
