Instead of trying to find a peaceful solution and looking for ways to improve interactions with ICE, the president is launching a smear campaign against Alex Pretti. He does this all the time to try to skew narratives and change public opinions - we've seen him do it many times before with people he views as adversaries. This is a childish tactic, and NOT befit of a president.
This is how authoritarian narratives work: you smear the victim, praise the armed agent, and ignore the killing. No video justifies an execution. No insult erases due process. This is propaganda, not accountability.
And this is not new. In Nazi Germany, after police or SS killings, the regime routinely branded victims as criminals, agitators, or enemies of the state then praised officers for “restoring order.” Evidence was selectively released or outright fabricated to justify violence after the fact.
In the Soviet Union, state media portrayed people killed by security forces as saboteurs or traitors. Trials (if they happened at all) were propaganda tools. The goal wasn’t justice; it was to make the public accept the killing as necessary.
In Chile under Augusto Pinochet, political dissidents killed by security forces were labeled extremists or terrorists. The government praised the military and dismissed killings as unavoidable even when victims were unarmed or already detained.
Must I go on?
Hold ICE - and the president - accountable!
The people demand the truth! We are tired of all of the lies and distractions!
