I'm calling on you to publicly demand the removal of Stephen Miller from his position as deputy chief of staff. Miller has become the architect of policies that violate American values and undermine our democracy. Miller's record speaks for itself. He engineered the Muslim ban in 2017 and declared that presidential powers "will not be questioned." He's now pushing for 3,000 deportations per day and has urged Latin American defense officials to ignore lawyers and commit violence against what he calls "savages." His statement that "if you import the Third World, you become the Third World" reveals the white nationalism driving his agenda. The facts contradict Miller's anti-immigrant fearmongering. According to the Cato Institute, immigrants pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits and commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans. Miller's own great-great grandfather was an immigrant who fled Belarus in 1903. Even Republican Sen. Thom Tillis called Miller a "big problem" for Trump. His extremism is politically toxic and morally indefensible. Use your platform to call for his removal and make clear that his authoritarian vision has no place in American government.
