Dear Senator, I am counting on you to work to restore trust in the Supreme Court. Samuel Alito has stated he won’t recuse himself from the two Supreme Court cases having to do with January 6. Judges are required to step aside from deciding cases when “the judge’s impartiality might be reasonably questioned.” I question Justice Alito’s impartiality, and millions of other reasonable Americans do as well. Please demand that he recuse himself. The Supreme Court is one of three equal co-branches of government and it must be held accountable. To that end it is imperative that Justice Roberts agrees to meet with Senators Durbin and Whitehouse, and that the Senate continues to push for accountability in the highest court of the land. Thank you.
