The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is the perfect metaphor for the Trump administration. Ignore all the rules and regulations. Hand out a no-bid contract to a crony you say you know and then deny knowing. Ignore the estimate cost of the project. Overpay the contractor by MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars. Claim the project a HUGE success and when it turns to s**t, blame it on someone else. This is what happened with the war with Iran. Congress COULD and SHOULD reign in the administration. You have the power of the purse and, theoretically, are the voice of the American people. Unfortunately, the GOP members of Congress have rolled over and gave up any claim to being an equal branch of our government. Daily we watch our democracy slide into an autocracy.
