I am deeply concerned about the attack on science and science funding that is currently taking place. Cuts to the NIH and NSF undercut the US's position as a leader in science, hurt our schools, and put patients at risk. I'm especially concerned that these attacks are trying to circumvent congress and its constitutional authority to oversee funding and legislation. The proposed NIH to limit indirect costs associated with grants is a death blow to universities and hospitals, and is flatly illegal. Destroying the American science ecosystem is something no American should want. Jobs are on the line. Lives are on the line. Please do everything in your power to block these moves at every turn.
