Vote against SAVE

To: Rep. Foster, Sen. Durbin, Sen. Duckworth

From: A constituent in Woodstock, IL

April 12

I am writing regarding the SAVE bill that the house has passed and will come to senate vote. As a woman I feel this will infringe on many married women’s right to vote. With social security in shambles and other agencies gutted, it will be next to impossible to gather the proper documentation to be able to prove our identity. I also worry about citizens abroad that live in other countries but have the right to vote. It will be near impossible for them. I feel so frustrated with the Democratic Party. While a minority and limited in power, all of you need to be fighting against the nonsense that is happening right now. From a citizen’s point of view, it feels like the democrats are pretty silent and trying to play by old political rules. The Republicans are not playing by those rules so please figure it out. Lead us. We are protesting, voting, writing and calling all congress regardless of who they are. We are doing our part. Please step up. Take bold actions. Be courageous, it is contagious.
