I'm asking you to vote against confirming Kevin Warsh to lead the Federal Reserve.
Warsh's track record shows he prioritizes Wall Street over working families. During his previous tenure on the Fed Board from 2006 to 2011, he consistently pushed for policies that favored financial institutions while Main Street struggled through the worst economic crisis in generations. His opposition to aggressive monetary support during the recovery would have prolonged unemployment and deepened the pain for millions of Americans.
We need a Fed chair who understands that the central bank's dual mandate means fighting for full employment as much as controlling inflation. Warsh has made clear he would tilt heavily toward the interests of banks and bondholders. That's the wrong priority when working people are still dealing with high costs and economic uncertainty.
The Federal Reserve's decisions affect every American's job prospects, wages, and cost of living. This position demands someone who will balance those concerns fairly, not someone with Warsh's record of favoring financial elites. Vote no on this confirmation.
