Women are dying due to the consequences of abortion bans across the country. Doctors and patients should be the ones making informed decisions about their healthcare, not the government dictating these highly personal choices. The proliferation of "OBGYN deserts" in states with strict abortion laws is leading to tragic and preventable deaths of women and fetuses alike. These draconian policies are causing immense suffering by denying people their constitutional rights and access to essential reproductive healthcare services. For the sake of women's lives and health, we urge you to reject H.R. 722 and any legislation that would further erode reproductive freedoms. People must be allowed to make their own deeply personal medical decisions without government overreach.
