I am increasingly worried about the conditions in which ICE and CBP are holding detainees. The no-bid contracts and lack of oversight allowed to Congress leads me to envision these facilities to be de facto concentration camps. If there’s nothing to hide, why aren’t members of Congress allowed access? Why is media barred? Why don’t we have any information about medical care or deaths in custody? When this part of our nation’s history is recounted, what will your role be in preventing our nation’s holocaust?
