Lee Zeldin needs to reverse course, and I need you to publicly oppose this rollback and use every legislative tool available to stop it. The electricity sector already accounts for nearly a quarter of US greenhouse gas pollution. Biden's power plant rules would have cut 1 billion metric tons of emissions by 2047. Scrapping them doesn't just erase that progress — it strips future administrations of the legal authority to regulate climate emissions at all. Meanwhile, wildfires are burning, floods are devastating communities, and families are already paying more for electricity and insurance. This administration is proposing to make all of that worse so polluters can operate without accountability. This is not a policy disagreement about regulatory burden. It is a decision to let corporations pump more poison into the air while the climate crisis unfolds in real time. I expect you to stand against it.
