The 38-state threshold for ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment was achieved in 2020, yet it remains unpublished and excluded from the Constitution. This continued exclusion represents an unacceptable denial of equal rights under the law for all Americans regardless of sex. As the duly elected leader of our nation, you have the power to uphold democracy by instructing the Archivist of the United States to finally certify and publish the ERA as the 28th Amendment. Formally enshrining gender equality in our founding document will not only protect hard-won rights from rollback, but provide a crucial legal framework to combat systemic discrimination. With the clear will of the people expressed through state ratifications & your remaining time in office, publishing the ERA presents a vital opportunity to further equality & justice. I urge you to take this action to ensure the ERA's rightful place in the Constitution before your term concludes.
