I'm writing to ask first that you stand against RFK Jr's appointment as the head of Health and Human services -- first of all, we're in the middle of an outbreak of H1N1, and the damage the new administration is already doing to our medical infrastructure is bad enough, but to put someone who opposes the massive medical good that is the prevention of devastating diseases through vaccines would put all of us at risk. Second, I know you know that the Trump administration's cutting off of already appropriated and apportioned funds for public services like Medicaid, WIC, and fuel assistance for low income families is going to hit those of us who are already struggling hard. I need you to stand up for us and oppose this unjust and illegal action in any way you can. Since I'd like to think you'd already be doing those things, I also want to say that the way the Trump administration is treating the people being hunted down snd deported right now is despicable, and we should all be ashamed to live in this country right now, and I want you as my reps to fight back in any way that presents itself. I also hate the narrative that it's a focus on trans rights that has hurt the Democrats in the last election -- our trans siblings need us to stand firm more than ever right now, and any bravery a politician shows for them right now counts for a lot in my respect for them. Don't back down now.
