Oppose STOP CSAM, KOSA, IODA and the SCREEN Act

To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

June 3, 2025

I'm writing to ask you to oppose the STOP CSAM Act. Or to amend it so that it doesn't infringe on the rights of adults. This bill, with work and with narrow definitions, would be more effective and less censorious than what is written now. This, along with the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act, KOSA, and the SCREEN Act, all threaten privacy and freedom of expression online and offline. These bills will not stop with pornography or explicit content. The risk of speech being defined as obscene or as CSAM by special interests hostile to groups they dislike is too great for these bills to be allowed to pass. Please oppose them in full or amend them so that legal expression i s not caught in the crossfire.
