Leaving these critical evaluations to political discretion creates a dangerous loophole for presidential overreach. I urge you to take immediate, efficient legislative action to cement mandatory presidential tax audits into law. Do not allow executive oversight to become an optional courtesy. Please push for clear, binding statutory guardrails that shield the IRS from political interference and mandate full accountability for the first family. Our system depends on a single standard of justice—ensure our tax system reflects that reality. If Bessent cannot manage that, remove him.
