STOP this regime of lawless pillaging NOW. Impeach and Remove Trump and impeach and remove Hegseth. America and the world have had enough of President Grab-them-by-the-p^^^y's lawless indecent grift and greed. The proposals for the Ukraine peace "deal" are an abject affront to decency: Read Heather Cox Richardson's characterization: "On Friday evening, the Wall Street Journal published an article about the Trump administration's negotiations with Russia over Ukraine that illuminated the administration's approach to the world at home, as well as overseas. Authors Drew Hinshaw, Benoit Faucon, Rebecca Ballhaus, Thomas Grove, and Joe Parkinson explained that the administration's plan for peace was a Russian-led blueprint for joint U.S.-Russia economic cooperation that would funnel contracts for rebuilding Ukraine, extracting the valuable minerals in the Arctic, and even space exploration to a few favored U.S. and Russian businessmen. Many of those business leaders have close ties to the White House." Now consider the illegality of Trump and Hegseth's actions in Venezuela: Closing all the airspace there? Who gives Trump the power to do that? YOU MUST take back Congress's war powers NOW. There is no casus belli for war with Venezuela. (There is however oil. Which Trump wants.) Is Congress going to stand by and allow President grab-em-by-the to grab foreign nations and their resources just for the enrichment of his cronies? Hegseth's orders to kill unarmed civilians clinging to a sinking boat are either war crimes or murder. Hegseth needs to be stopped. He is unfit for his post, ignorant and unethical. As Robert Hubbell reminds us: "We have watched for three months as the US military has killed civilians in violation of its internal guidance, military law, and international law. Congress has been complacent in failing to challenge Trump and Hegseth to prevent them from abusing the military and perverting its mission. Their actions damage the military, the American public, and the rule of law. Over the weekend, it appears that the tipping point was finally reached. However horrific the facts appear now, they will likely prove to be even more horrendous than imagined when congressional committees take testimony. And the appearance of whistleblowers and anonymous leakers will increase as those in the chain of command realize they have become unwitting accomplices in war crimes." I am glad that Congress will be doing oversight on Hegseth. But oversight of Hegseth is not enough. These illegal killings and war crimes need to be stopped immediately. Trump and Hegseth both merit immediate impeachment and removal. The constitution demands it. Please, DO YOUR JOB.
