VOTE NO ON THE SAVE ACT

To: Rep. Burlison, Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt

From: A verified voter in Springfield, MO

July 17

I'm asking you to vote no on the SAVE Act. Requiring documentary proof of citizenship to register or re-register to vote will disenfranchise eligible citizens, especially married women who've changed their names, elderly voters without ready access to birth certificates, and rural voters far from DMV offices. Voter fraud by non-citizens is already illegal and vanishingly rare. This bill solves a problem that doesn't exist while creating real barriers for citizens who have every right to vote. That's not election integrity. That's voter suppression dressed up as reform. Please vote no.
