You need to publicly call out the false claims coming from the White House about election security. In his July 16th sour grapes address, Trump claimed China carried out "the largest compromise of election data in history," but PolitiFact confirmed the White House's own documents show that voter data is publicly available for purchase. This isn't a disputed interpretation. It's a fabrication being used to justify suppressing votes. The consequences are real. DHS Secretary Mullin (who should have never been confirmed) is threatening state officials with criminal prosecution for refusing to use a federal voter roll tool that federal judges have blocked 16 out of 16 times because it repeatedly misidentifies naturalized citizens as noncitizens. Meanwhile, the intelligence community's own released documents show Russia, not China, tried to influence the 2020 election outcome even though it didn't work that time like it did in 2016 and 2024. Trump has denied that, too. Silence from elected officials is how this kind of disinformation takes hold. Say clearly and on the record that these claims are false, that threatening election administrators with prosecution over a court-blocked tool is an abuse of power, and that you will not support the SAVE Act since it rests on a foundation of lies.
