Kennedy ran for President on a platform of putting neurodivergent people in work camps. He couched it more palatably, but the underlying of his words were clear. Neurodivergent people are subhuman.
Now, with Kennedy's statements about Autistic people, evoking the imagery of Modern America's "useless eaters," and his plan to compile a database of Autistic folks using medical databases, I hope you begin to realize the terror that neurodivergent people are living with.
Every neurdivergent person and family I know, my own included, is trying to figure out how to afford to safely escape this country now. This is a process and prospect made infinitely harder with the effect that Trump's policies have had on our economy.
The mythological Cassandra was cursed with the gift of prophecy, and it is painfully obvious to see the pattern of 1933 Germany repeating here. It is like living in a special kind of Hell to see your own torture rolling towards you while all those who could stop it seem to choose not to.
I am begging you not to let that happen to your neurodiverse constituents. Please take steps to do something to prevent us from becoming victims slaughtered by this Administration and its representatives.
