I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to exercise your authority and responsibility in this moment. Recent actions and proposals raise serious concerns about congressional oversight, federal spending priorities and the impact on everyday Americans.
Many families are already feeling the effects of reduced access to health care, changes to ACA subsidies and cuts to public health services and programs. At the same time, federal employees who provide essential services have faced significant workforce reductions and ongoing uncertainty. These are professionals who are not asking for more ,they are asking for the ability to continue doing their jobs to serve the public.
Given this context, I am deeply concerned about proposals to allocate additional funding toward military action that has not been clearly authorized by Congress. Decisions of this magnitude require transparency, accountability and adherence to constitutional processes.
I respectfully ask that you:
• Uphold Congress’s role in authorizing military action
• Carefully scrutinize any additional funding requests tied to conflict
• Maintain current funding levels for public health and essential services and oppose further cuts to fund new spending priorities
• Prioritize investments that directly support the health, safety and well-being of the American people
• Protect the remaining federal workforce that delivers critical services across the country
Communities across the country are facing real challenges , including access to care, food security, housing stability and economic uncertainty. Budget decisions should reflect these realities and focus on strengthening the systems people rely on every day.
Please do not approve additional funding that shifts resources away from these urgent domestic needs without clear justification and proper congressional authorization.
Thank you for your time. I urge you to take action that protects your constituents and upholds your responsibilities.
