Support the 32-Hour Workweek Act

To: Sen. Durbin, Sen. Duckworth

From: A verified voter in Glenview, IL

September 14

Please co-sponsor and vote yes on the 32-Hour Workweek Act. The 40-hour standard hasn't been updated since 1940, and the economy looks nothing like it did then. Productivity has surged for decades while workers have seen little of those gains — cutting the standard workweek is a concrete way to change that. A shorter workweek means healthier workers, lower burnout, and more time for families and communities. Countries and companies that have piloted four-day workweeks consistently report maintained or improved productivity. This isn't a radical experiment — it's catching up to what the evidence already shows. My vote depends on representatives who are willing to modernize labor law for the people actually living under it.
