Trump is preparing to walk away from the Iran war without a nuclear deal, without denuclearization, and without anything resembling the goals he used to justify starting this conflict. According to the Wall Street Journal, he's telling aides he just wants Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz so he can declare "victory" and leave. That's not victory. That's retreat dressed up in a press release. Iran is holding firm on its original MOU terms. Israel is threatening independent strikes that could drag us back in. Our munitions are depleted to near-zero, and the Pentagon just gave defense contractors a 21-day ultimatum to come up with a replenishment plan. Meanwhile, the U.S. just lost 23,000 jobs in July, and Trump's economic advisers are on CNN insisting everything is fine. This administration created this mess and now wants someone else to clean it up. You need to demand a full congressional accounting of this war before Trump gets to spin his way out of it. No more blank checks, no more silence while soldiers remain in harm's way for a conflict that was illegal from the start. Bring them home — but do it honestly, not through a manufactured photo op.
