The war with Iran is a disaster. Under Obama we had a reasonable nuclear agreement with Iran. Trump pulled out, setting up the fiasco we’re faced with today. Furthermore, Trump started this war WITHOUT notifying Congress — clearly illegal. Trump continues to claim that we are ‘winning’ and threatening to commit war crimes and genocide. This is unhinged. Before Trump’s war, the Strait was open and free. Now it is closed by both Iran and America and we are faced with global problems. Iran is in a more powerful position than they have been for years — all because Trump started this war. Donald Trump does not seem to understand the situation or diplomacy or anything other than ‘win at all costs’. Sending Witkoff and Kushner to ‘negotiate’ was questionable at best. They have no experience but do have vested financial interests. It is essential that Congress asserts its authority and responsibility. You must bring an end to this war before it escalates further.
