The median US income is somewhere between $62,000.00 and $84,000.00/year, for full time and salaried employees. $174k/year plus $10k in expenses is more than double the US average. Federal minimum wage has stagnated at $7.25/hr since 2009, try living on that. When you work only 88 days out of the year, you don't deserve a raise.
