A member of NCOSE admitted, while talking about a bill that they supported in Texas--SB20--that all of the legislation written for and supported by them was never meant to protect kids, but to instead censor subject matters that they dislike. As your constituent, I find that dishonesty coming from an advocacy group is enough to justify an investigation into the bills they are hoping will pass and any that have been passed. It explains why they are largely ineffective in saving kids and victims from being trafficked, exploited, stalked, groomed and abused. Critics of these bills are in opposition to them because they are used largely to punish outgroups, censor expression, and silence victims while invading privacy. If protecting kids is the aim, then it's time for legislators to admit that banning, age verification, and other methods are failures because it lies in the design. Please don't support KOSA or any other bills like it.
