Developed nations shouldn't fail this hard at food safety. MAGA has empowered bad actors to circumvent resource starved oversight bodies, leading to unsafe produce, unsafe meat, and unsafe processed foods. And they're not even enforcing recalls or conducting transparent, meaningful investigations. They just completely let Taylor Farms off the hook. I don't expect they'll ensure consumers have any way of identifying whether they purchased/consumed meat sourced from A&D foods. Why is Congress so comfortable with the deprivation and endangerment of American citizens? Hold this useless USDA accountable and restore meaningful government. Impeach and remove Trump, Rollins, Kennedy, and anyone else profiting off the endangerment and neglect of Americans. This is not what a world leading nation looks like. This is what an kleptocratic banana republic run by criminal oligarchs looks like.
