No Cuts to Services, Condemn Russian Invasion, Save Federal Jobs

I have several concerns. In recent days, Trump has escalated his rhetoric against Ukraine, calling fairly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator" and falsely blaming Ukraine Russia’s illegal invasion. This is a radical reversal of U.S. policy of supporting Ukraine against Russian invasion and in seeking NATO membership, and is not only against the interests of Ukraine, but against the interests of the US as well. Additionally, in a key NATO vote, the US voted WITH Russia, North Korea, Iran, and several other Russian allies against condemning Russia’s invasion. This is outrageous and not something I or any sane American supports. I am calling on you to condemn these comments and actions and continue to support Ukraine. I would like you to oppose the House Budget Committee's budget resolution, which deepens the deficit and mandates funding cuts to essential programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and more to finance tax cuts for the wealthy. This proposed budget endangers the health of millions of Americans as well as the fiscal health of our entire nation. I am tired of the move to privatize every public service, most recently the attacks on the US Postal Service. Beyond delivering mail, USPS is also one of the largest employers in the country, with over 635,000 workers-including nearly 100,000 military members and veterans in its workforce. Privatization would put these jobs at risk. Congress must act now to prevent this blatant power grab from billionaires like Bezos, and ensure the USPS remains independent, affordable, and accessible to all Americans. I also ask that you push back against the Trump administration's mass firings of dedicated federal workers by opposing any budget or spending bill unless it includes a binding mechanism to block DOGE's lawless impoundment and dismantling of federal agencies. Donald Trump is not a king, Elon Musk is not an elected authority, and their destructive overreach of power has to stop. Finally, it is unacceptable that the Trump administration has enacted a policy to devastate our national parks and public lands under the guise of "cutting costs". These parks and public lands were already understaffed, and the recent chaotic firings of park workers are dangerous not only to the lands, but the people who enjoy them. It's inappropriate for the Trump administration to take these dramatic and dangerous actions without any oversight. Are you going to do anything to curb the insanity of this administration? Do you still have spines or have you been completely brainwashed? I expect a full accounting of these issues and not more Russian talking points or MAGA nonsense. You are our representative and if you can’t do that job, perhaps it’s time you get a different one. Ps. If you vote for the spending bill that is up for consideration today (2/25), then you vote against the best interests of your constituents and further cement our resolve that you are unfit for office.
